Inspiring Biography of Ashish Chanchlani

Ashish Chanchlani is one of the most popular and successful YouTubers of India.

His YouTube channel by the name, ashish chanchlani vines has a whopping 27 million subscribers.

Introduction-

Ashish Chanchlani was born on 8 December 1993 into a rich Sindhi family.

He grew up in Ulhasnagar, Maharashtra and still lives here.

Ashish Chanchlani’s father, Anil Chanchlani is an ex-boxer and a businessman and he owns Ashok Anil Multiplex multiplex in Ulhasnagar.

His mother, Deepa Chanchlani is a professional card reader and numerologist.

Ashish Chanchlani has a younger sister, Muskan Chanchlani and she is also a YouTuber and runs Miss McBlush YouTube channel which has currently more than 1.6 million subscribers.

Early love with acting-

Since his childhood, Ashish Chanchlani always loved acting and had a strong desire to grow up to become an actor.

Once in his eight class, he was mimicking his PT teacher but unfortunately, he got caught in the act by his social studies teacher.

He reprimanded Ashish Chanchlani not to mimic the PT teacher again but as he liked his mimicry, he invited him to act in his drama.

The social studies teacher was also a director.

From a news reporter to king-

As Ashish Chanchlani had a passion for acting, he agreed to act in the drama.

His social studies teacher assigned him the role of a news reporter in the drama.

But as Ashish Chanchlani didn’t have enough knowledge of acting as a news reporter, he couldn’t act well in the role.

Luckily, one day as one of his juniors who was playing the role of a king was absent from school so, he was offered his role as a replacement actor.

Ashish Chanchlani added his own sense of humour to his new role and acted well.

His teacher was very impressed by his acting, so he was asked to permanently act as a king.

Later, Ashish Chanchlani performed on the stage during his school’s annual day and the audience loved and appreciated his acting.

Disappointed by his father-

After completing his class 10, Ashish Chanchlani went to his father and shared his desire to become an actor.

Even though his father agreed to his decision, he warned him that he would face many struggles and his acting career would be uncertain.

After hearing this, Ashish Chanchlani dropped his dream of becoming an actor at that moment and decided to continue his further education.

While studying 12^th grade, once again he became very interested in acting but his father reminded him that entering Bollywood is very tough due to high competition and so, once again he dropped his acting dreams and chose to study engineering.

Choosing engineering-

Ashish Chanchlani chose to study civil engineering from Datta Meghe College Of Engineering, Airoli, Navi Mumbai.

His love for acting couldn’t allow him to focus on studying engineering.

So, one day, Ashish Chanchlani ran away from his college to his home and pleaded with his father to allow him to quit engineering and become an actor.

His father didn’t allow him to quit engineering but permitted him to do acting alongside with studying engineering.

So, from his second year of engineering, Ashish Chanchlani started actively participating in theatrics and dramatics in his college and also hosted his college fests.

He received good appreciation for his performances.

In June 2015, Ashish Chanchlani finished engineering and scored good marks but was very confused about his future and had no plans for it.

Discovering short videos-

In 2014, Ashish Chanchlani discovered a short six second funny video of David Lopez while scrolling through his Facebook feed.

Later, he came to know about Vine, a social networking short-form video hosting service.

Ashish Chanchlani was saddened to observe that no one from India was making videos on Vine and so, he decided to create short videos for Vine and simultaneously fulfill his passion of acting.

Creating videos-

So, Ashish Chanchlani started creating short videos for Vine in his home.

He created his first three videos by just copying some international Viners and got a few negative comments on them.

Later, Ashish Chanchlani decided not to copy others and create original videos tailored to the Indian audience.

Moving to Instagram-

On July 9, 2014, Ashish Chanchlani published his first video on Instagram and this video was on Maggi.

He continued publishing videos on Instagram and eventually, his videos became viral and in 2014 itself he garnered one million followers on Instagram.

Now, Ashish Chanchlani has more than 11 million followers on Instagram.

Moving to YouTube-

Ashish Chanchlani noticed that someone was downloading his videos and uploading them on YouTube and earning money with them.

He became active on his YouTube channel in order to takedown the videos that someone was uploading as an impostor.

Even though ashish chanchlani vines YouTube channel was created on July 7, 2009, he started focusing on it only from December 8, 2014.

Ashish Chanchlani published his first video on December 8, 2014 and this video is titled- how to annoy people who say “tu mere baap ko jaanta hai?”

Around that time, Bhuvan Bam had also suggested that he start working on YouTube.

A helpful son-

Since Ashish Chanchlani was 16, he has been helping his father in his business.

Initially, his father owned a single screen theater but now he owns a multiplex.

Even while studying and creating videos, Ashish Chanchlani took the time out to work in his father’s multiplex.

He upgraded technologies of the multiplex with 3D, Dolby Surround 7.1, etc.

Ashish Chanchlani also managed the bank related tasks.

Struggles and successes-

Initially, people made fun of Ashish Chanchlani and his videos but he persisted.

And until 2017, he didn’t get recognition as a YouTuber and from 2017 onwards, his YouTube channel skyrocketed.

Thanks to the success of his YouTube channel Ashish Chanchlani received many awards like-

Diamond Creator Award.
In March 2018, Ashish Chanchlani was awarded Viral king of the year and Viral video of the year by IWM Digital Awards.
In April 2018, he was awarded Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Award for Best Digital Influencer.
Ashish Chanchlani was also awarded Best Comedy Influencer award at the World Bloggers Awards held at the Cannes Film Festival in Cannes, France.
He was awarded Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards in the Favorite YouTuber category.
Ashish Chanchlani also received the ITA Award for Popular Digital Influencer.
