He teaches millions of students through his YouTube channels.
Aman Dhattarwal’s life story of hailing from a middle class family to becoming a millionaire at 22 is very inspiring.
So read on to get inspired.
Introduction-
Aman Dhattarwal was born in 1997 into a middle class family in a Rajasthan village.
His father worked as a teacher in Rajasthan, so they lived here for three years, then they shifted to Delhi.
Aman Dhattarwal has a younger brother, Tanishq Dhattarwal.
Schooling-
Aman Dhattarwal was a bright student in school and despite being a good sportsperson he always managed to score well in examinations.
He did his schooling in Delhi.
Initially, Aman Dhattarwal studied in Jain Bharati Mrigavati Vidyalaya.
And during his third grade, he shifted to Laxman Public School.
Then, in his seventh grade, Aman Dhattarwal shifted to Delhi Public School, Vasant Kunj and he studied here until his tenth grade.
He scored a 10 CGPA in his tenth class.
Aman Dhattarwal’s father suggested that he become proficient in maths and English as he believed that by being proficient in these two subjects, he can easily learn all other subjects.
Higher secondary education-
In 2013, Aman Dhattarwal shifted to Delhi Public School, R. K. Puram because it was at a distance of just 500 m from his home.
Here, he chose science stream and scored 95% in his 12th class.
Lawn tennis-
As most of Aman Dhattarwal’s family members were army personnel and sportspersons, his father wanted him to take up a sport.
In his third grade, his father introduced him to lawn tennis.
Aman Dhattarwal became very involved in playing lawn tennis and used to daily play lawn tennis for nearly 5 hours until his eleventh grade.
He was trained by Arun in R.K. Khanna Tennis Stadium.
Aman Dhattarwal also practised swimming to increase his stamina.
Entering YouTube-
After completing his 12th standard, Aman Dhattarwal started watching YouTube.
He was very impressed by the ZaidAliT Vlogs YouTube channel and he too wanted to start a YouTube channel.
As Aman Dhattarwal was passionate about teaching, he started a YouTube channel to teach students and also overcome his shyness.
He started Aman Dhattarwal YouTube channel on Dec 11, 2014 and the first video uploaded on this channel was of his dog’s (this video is currently not available).
Against his wishes-
After 12th Aman Dhattarwal wanted to become a professional lawn tennis player to which his father rejected and made him continue his further education.
Then, he wanted to pursue BSc from Hindu College.
Aman Dhattarwal’s plan was to prepare for the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) after finishing BSc and crack a government services job but his father opposed his plan and made him choose engineering from Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT).
As he scored well in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) exam, he was able to choose the Information Technology (IT) branch in NSUT.
Inspired by his seniors-
In 2015, while getting admitted into NSUT, Aman Dhattarwal came across a newspaper article mentioning that eight of his seniors got a package of whopping ₹1.25 crore per annum each.
He got very inspired by this and was confident to do better than his seniors.
So, in his first semester, Aman Dhattarwal studied very hard and scored 97%.
Overcoming shyness-
Aman Dhattarwal was extremely shy and introverted all through his school.
So, to overcome shyness, he started a YouTube channel as previously mentioned.
In his first year of engineering, Aman Dhattarwal participated in many extracurricular activities and actively interacted with his hostel mates to become more confident.
He also sang a rap song in the music society of his college.
Eventually, Aman Dhattarwal lost his shyness and this later immensely helped him while delivering speeches.
Losing interest in coding-
By the second semester, Aman Dhattarwal lost interest in coding.
He also took offline coaching for coding in his summer break but even after this he couldn’t develop an interest for coding.
As his parents were positive towards government jobs, Aman Dhattarwal thought of preparing for government jobs.
So, he and his friend by the name, Aman visited many coaching institutes in GTB Nagar to get trained for government jobs.
But all the institutes recommended them to first self study the NCERT books before joining them.
So, Aman Dhattarwal started reading on his own.
Taking YouTube seriously-
In his first year of college, Aman Dhattarwal wasn’t serious about working on YouTube and so he made only 6-7 videos.
From his second year he was determined to work on YouTube with more dedication but he wasn’t able to properly shoot videos in his hostel.
So, Aman Dhattarwal decided to move out of the hostel and rent an apartment and make a studio in it so that he could peacefully make videos for YouTube.
But as he didn’t have the money to rent an apartment, he convinced his father to pay for the rent on the pretext of preparing for UPSC exams.
Aman Dhattarwal knew that his father wouldn’t allow him to rent an apartment for creating videos, so he made up a story that he needed an apartment to prepare for UPSC exams.
Finally, his father rented an apartment for him near his college.
Struggling as a YouTuber-
Within three to four months, Aman Dhattarwal made a studio in his room.
His mother somehow came across one of his YouTube videos and she wasn’t at all impressed with him working on YouTube.
During that time, he was in his second year of engineering and his mother mounted pressure on him to abandon working on YouTube and instead focus on engineering and placements.
Aman Dhattarwal’s mother was worried that he would spend too much time on YouTube and neglect his studies.
But he convinced his mother that it takes only around 15 minutes to create a video but in reality he was spending around 5-6 hours producing a video.
First ever earning-
Aman Dhattarwal turned on monetisation on his YouTube channel hoping that he can better convince his mother through his YouTube earnings.
Initially, as his videos weren’t getting good views, he used to make very little money like around ₹15-20 per day.
But as his videos started gaining popularity, Aman Dhattarwal started earning more.
Eventually, he received his first ever income from Google AdSense.
Designing studios-
Once while interacting with one of his former teachers, Aman Dhattarwal told about his studio and that teacher was impressed by his work and referred him to an educator in Bikaner.
He designed the first studio for free and eventually, many clients started approaching him.
By his third year of engineering, Aman Dhattarwal started making good money by designing studios.
He started designing studios for many schools and coaching institutes around Delhi, Sikar, etc.
Saying no to internships-
In his third year of engineering, companies started approaching his college looking for candidates for internships.
But as Aman Dhattarwal was making money by designing studios, he decided not to get into any internships.
He regretted his decision when Microsoft offered a ₹40 lakh package to his classmates, so he decided to work hard and earn even more with his businesses.
As Aman Dhattarwal was feeling stressed, he convinced his father not to force him either to attend placements or to prepare for government jobs.
All he wanted to do was to expand his businesses of designing studios and YouTube.
Luckily, as Aman Dhattarwal was earning somewhat well his father got convinced.
Deadline of two years-
His father set Aman Dhattarwal a deadline of two years and he was allowed to fully focus on his businesses for two years.
According to the deadline, he would continue doing his businesses if they did well but if he didn’t perform as expected, he would need to abandon his businesses and prepare for UPSC.
At that time, Aman Dhattarwal saw his friends accepting good packages from companies, so he felt the pressure and worked harder.
Becoming a millionaire-
During that time, Aman Dhattarwal came across a video describing how to become a millionaire at 26.
This video inspired him and he wanted to become a millionaire by the time he graduated from the college, at 22.
Then on a white board Aman Dhattarwal chalked out the ways to become a millionaire and his plans included writing a book, expanding his studio designing work, etc.
During that time, he worked hard and apart from designing studios and working on YouTube, he also did affiliate marketing, freelancing, etc.
Aman Dhattarwal succeeded to become a millionaire at 22 and also purchased 8 houses.
He became financially independent and also invested in stocks.
Becoming an educator and speaker-
Initially on his YouTube channel Aman Dhattarwal taught many subjects like polity, physics, web development, vedic maths, etc.
But after a couple of months, he got overwhelmed and decided to hire a team to help him out.
Later, when Aman Dhattarwal started earning well, he invested money in building a team.
Now, he along with his team runs many YouTube channels, some of them are-
