He has 1.16M subscribers on his eponymous YouTube channel.

Introduction-

Robert Dahm (Rob Dahm) was born on 16 December 1983 in Monroe, Michigan, United States.

His father, Kevin Dahm, is an electrical engineer.

His mother’s name is Jean Dahm.

Rob has two brothers, Matthew Dahm, and Kevin Dahm.

Love for Lamborghini Diablo-

In his second grade, Rob became obsessed with the Lamborghini Diablo.

As a child, he was also passionate about playing violin but this passion couldn’t live long.

Working for his dream car-

As Rob badly wanted to own a Lamborghini Diablo and as he wasn’t from a wealthy family, he started working from a young age.

In 1998, he along with his two brothers started mowing their neighbours’ lawns and in 1999, they entrusted Rob with fixing their computers.

At 16, he started fixing computers in his parents’ home and used to charge $35 an hour for fixing the computers.

During that time, Rob was doing several odd jobs like moving furniture, etc. to save up for starting an IT company with an ultimate goal of buying his dream car.

Education-

Rob studied from a public school (mostly) and also from a private school.

In 2003, he graduated from the Monroe County Community College, Michigan.

Love for computers-

Rob was fortunate to have a passionate computer science teacher and thanks to him, he developed a passion for computers and this inspired him to later start an IT company.

In his class, he used to hand wire 6502 computers.

First failure-

Rob learnt that selling internet startups to companies like Google and Microsoft are hugely profitable, so, he planned to develop a social network similar to Facebook and later sell it to a big company.

He tried to raise money for his social network and he even invested more than a million dollars of his personal money into it but even after trying for a couple of years, he and his team couldn’t succeed.

The reasons for Rob’s failure were that he didn’t have enough personal connections and business strategy.

Starting an IT company-

In August 2001, while in high school, Rob along with his brother started an IT company by the name, Computer Works in a room above the garage in his parents’ home.

In 2002, he moved out of his parents’ home and leased a place in Monroe, Michigan.

Rob was 18 at that time.

Initially, he started by repairing PCs but later expanded to computer network solutions, web design and e-commerce and consultation.

Computer Works specialises in medical IT and provides IT solutions to doctors’ offices.

At 21, Rob bought the building in which his company was housed.

His company is running profitably till date and is headquartered in Monroe.

Rob has also made investments into real estate and stocks.

Other ventures-

In 2001, Rob launched a website dedicated to the Mazda RX-7 by the name TurboRX7.com.

He operated this site until 2008.

In September 2007, Rob started Race and Replace and this deals with the aftermarket car parts.

Since June 2010, he has been working as a Product Specialist for Gail & Rice.

In 2013, Rob and his brother purchased Executive Auto Care, a car detailing company.

He also has an online store, Dahm.

Starting his YouTube channel-

On 27 June 2008, Rob started an eponymous YouTube channel and started publishing videos related to cars.

Apart from automotive content, he also publishes videos related to business and his personal life.

As of December 2023, Rob has 1.16M subscribers on his channel.

Buying his dream car-

With the money that Rob made from his IT company, in 2011, he purchased a 2001 Lamborghini Diablo.

At that time, it was a ten-year-old used car.

Currently, Rob lives in Monroe, Michigan.
