Love for travelling-

Since a young age, Jeremiah loved travelling.

At 15, he travelled to Haiti.

And even before Jeremiah started his travel YouTube channel, he travelled to Ecuador and Dominican Republic.

Before working on his channel, he shot a couple of films and this experience later helped him while working on YouTube.

The theft which made him quit YouTube-

Even though Jeremiah started his YouTube channel, ‘Czech in effect’ on 30 March 2011, he began shooting videos for his channel only in 2018.

In 2018, he travelled to Haiti to shoot some videos for his channel.

After shooting videos in Haiti, as there wasn’t good internet for Jeremiah to publish his videos on to YouTube, he decided to edit and publish his videos after travelling to the United States.

After shooting the videos, he started doing promotions for a beverage in Haiti and while promoting the beverage, some people approached him and requested the beverage and he gave them the beverage for free.

Then, Jeremiah asked him the directions to go to Walmart and he walked to the Walmart.

After returning from Walmart, he observed that those people broke into his work truck and stole his gimbal, GoPro camera and his 256 GB memory card containing all the footage meant to be published on his YouTube channel.

This incident depressed Jeremiah and as a result, he decided not to work on his YouTube channel.

Working on ‘Czech in effect’-

Later, one of his friends inspired Jeremiah to restart working on his YouTube channel.

So, from 2019, he started working on his Czech in effect YouTube channel.

On 11 July 2019, Jeremiah published his first video on the Dominican Republic.

As his middle name is Czech and as all his family and friends used to call him Czech, he named his YouTube channel as ‘Czech in effect.’

Jeremiah decided to publish videos on off-beaten tourist places and made this the niche of his YouTube channel.

Quitting his job for YouTube-

Jeremiah’s contract gig demanded him to work for nine months in a year and in the remaining three months, he travelled to the Dominican Republic and started working on his YouTube channel.

His job involved marketing and promotions and he worked for NASCAR and a couple of football games.

In 2021, after his work contract finished, Jeremiah received another work contract but refused it to become a full-time YouTuber and at that time, Czech in effect YouTube channel had 50K subscribers.

At that time, his YouTube channel was earning him less than his job but as he loved working on YouTube more than his job and saw a good business potential with his channel, he quit his job.

A globetrotter-

Jeremiah travels to many countries and documents them on his YouTube channel.

He travelled to the Dominican Republic, Haiti, Peru, Cuba, Colombia, Brazil, Spain, the United Kingdom, Bahamas, Africa, Europe, etc.

Jeremiah uses several credit cards like that of Southwest, etc. to make purchases and builds his points and uses the points to fly.

Initially, he also had a sponsor and used to do events for them in the Dominican Republic.

Jeremiah also made investment in stocks and in a real estate company and saved a lot of money for travelling.

A successful YouTuber-

One of his videos of Colombia became successful and this was his first video to cross 100 thousand views and thanks to this, his channel started skyrocketing.

As of February 2024, Jeremiah has 394K subscribers on ‘Czech in effect’ YouTube channel.

He studies other successful YouTubers and learns their techniques and implements them in his own style.

Jeremiah earns from advertisements on his YouTube videos and membership on his channel and he also sells merchandise and accepts donations on PayPal and Cash App.

On 9 May 2022, he started his second YouTube channel, ‘The Czech effect.’
