In 2017, Arun graduated in Economics from The University of Warwick.

Creative since childhood-

Since his childhood, he has always been creative.

At 2, Arun started drawing elephants, baking cakes and creating dinosaurs with Play-Doh and matchsticks with utmost concentration.

His father observed his concentration and started teaching him chess.

Arun started enjoying the game and soon, started beating his father and later, played chess for Team England.

He was a bright student and was good at maths and economics.

A born entrepreneur-

As his parents are businesspersons, Arun too was interested in business since his childhood.

At a young age, he sold sweets in the playground.

Later, in his school, Arun was the managing director for a Young Enterprise team.

Now, as a YouTuber, he is living his dream of an entrepreneur.

Being bullied-

Arun faced many problems in his secondary school.

During that time, he developed acne over his face and was lanky and thanks to these, he was bullied by fellow students and as a consequence, he lost his self-confidence.

Arun gained confidence later when he started working on his YouTube channel.

Falling in love with technology-

In March 2011, Arun’s brother gave him an Orange San Francisco (ZTE Blade) smartphone.

This was his first smartphone and even though it was a low-end phone, he was very impressed by its technology.

Arun was so engrossed by this smartphone that he started disregarding his bad days at school.

He researched extensively about smartphones and started fiddling with his phone by modding and customizing it.

Starting Mrwhosetheboss-

On 20 April 2011, Arun started Mrwhosetheboss YouTube channel as a fun project.

On 22 April 2011, he published his first video on this channel and it was titled- How to optimize your ZTE Blade and during that time, he was 15.

Arun shot this video with his father’s old JVC Camcorder.

And from August 2011, he started regularly publishing videos on his YouTube channel and liked the process of creating videos.

Starting small-

Initially, as Arun didn’t have the contacts to get invited to the smartphone events and also as he wasn’t in a position to afford the latest and greatest phones, he created videos on Android apps.

Also, during that time, the smartphone brands refused to send him phones, so he used to constantly buy phones, review them and sell them to buy other phones.

Arun used to also borrow and trade in smartphones and tablets for reviewing.

Soon, he purchased a camera from his earnings and started constantly improving the quality of his videos.

First viral video-

When Arun’s channel was at around 35,000 subscribers, his video titled- Turn your Smartphone into a 3D Hologram | 4K became viral and within a week, this video crossed 15 million views.

He published this video on 1 August 2015.

Thanks to this video, the number of subscribers doubled and Arun also got a chance to appear on a television channel.

This motivated him to work even harder on his YouTube channel.

Leaving job for YouTube-

In 2016, Arun wasn’t sure whether he could choose YouTubing as his full-time career, so he applied for jobs and luckily, he was selected for internship at his dream company, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC).

During that time, he was studying in his university and didn’t abandon creating videos.

After finishing the eight-week internship, Arun was offered the job of a consultant at PwC.

But he rejected the job for becoming a full-time YouTuber as he was more interested in working on his YouTube channel than working as a consultant.

Becoming a full-time YouTuber-

In 2017, Arun rejected the job offer and at that time, he graduated from his university and since then, he started working as a full-time YouTuber.

Then, for the next six months, he uploaded one video per day and thanks to this, his channel started growing rapidly.

He uses Sony ILME-FX6 Cinema Line, Sony Alpha 7S III and Panasonic LUMIX GH5 cameras.
