He scored 7.5 CGPA in college.

Losing self-confidence-

In his teenage years, Nischay Malhan was very shy and introverted.

While in his ninth class, one of his uncles taunted him publicly for his looks in a wedding ceremony and due to this he lost his self-confidence.

At that time, Nischay Malhan was suffering from hypogonadism, a hormonal condition and due to this he couldn’t develop masculine characteristics like facial hair, etc.

In his 11th class, his maths teacher also bullied him for his appearance and due to this he stopped attending the school regularly.

During that time, in addition to hypogonadism, Nischay Malhan also suffered from being overweight and these conditions made him feel miserable.

In his second year of engineering, his roommate Akash helped him to overcome his sorrow and he also introduced him to the Dota video game.

Overcoming his health issues-

While studying third year of engineering, Nischay Malhan started receiving medical treatment for hypogonadism and recovered from this condition.

Later, he started working out at a gym and this helped him to lose his extra weight and become fit.

First YouTube channel-

Nischay Malhan started his first YouTube channel by the name, Nischay Malhan on September 9, 2012 while in his first year of engineering.

He started this YouTube channel to upload his college projects and share them with his teachers.

At that time, Nischay Malhan didn’t have any intention of making a career in YouTube.

Lying to his father-

In his third year of engineering, Nischay Malhan requested his father to buy him a laptop for coding.

Nischay Malhan bought an Asus gaming laptop worth ₹1 lakh and instead of coding, he used to play games on it.

Then, he thought of streaming his gameplay on YouTube.

Starting Triggered Insaan-

Nischay Malhan started Triggered Insaan YouTube channel on July 17, 2014 while in his third year of engineering.

Initially, here he streamed The Witcher 3 game but didn’t get decent views.

Inspired to make a career in YouTube-

Nischay Malhan’s future plan was not to work in a regular job but to work on YouTube from the comfort of his home.

During that time, memes were very popular on Facebook.

So, Nischay Malhan decided to create memes on Facebook and for this, he created a meme page on Facebook by the name, Yes-Yes-Bhai.

So, Nischay Malhan paid for the engagement of his Facebook page but even this didn’t help.

First viral video on YouTube-

Later, Nischay Malhan started uploading meme videos on YouTube and one of his meme videos based on a scene in the Dhamaal film went viral.

This inspired him to make more meme compilation videos.

Then, he made similar kinds of videos and thanks to this, his YouTube channel started growing.

Changing names-

Initially, Nischay Malhan named his YouTube channel Yes-Yes-Bhai based on his nickname in his apartment.

Later, he changed it to It’s Nischay but he realised that this name is difficult to type and also not very attractive.

At that time, Nischay Malhan came across Triggered Tro YouTube channel and was impressed with its name and so, he renamed his YouTube channel’s name to Triggered Insaan.

First job

In his final year of engineering, Nischay Malhan got placed into a company and was offered a package of ₹18 lakh per annum.

He had to do an internship for 6 months after graduation but he was more passionate about working on YouTube.

Bad experience-

Nischay Malhan’s first day at the internship didn’t go well as he got scolded by his boss for watching a Dota game video during the lunch break.

And thanks to this experience, he hated the internship.

Nischay Malhan tried to convince his father to allow him to quit the internship and work full-time on YouTube but as at that time as he wasn’t earning with YouTube, his father didn’t allow him to quit his internship.

At that time, he was working on his YouTube channel part-time and had only 20,000 subscribers.

Nischay Malhan’s parents suggested that he continue the internship and work on his YouTube channel part-time.

Quitting job-

After doing the internship for three months, Nischay Malhan quit the internship.

And he got a job as a web developer in a startup in Sarita Vihar.

Nischay Malhan used to daily travel to and fro to his work for four hours and due to this, he was left with very little time to work on his YouTube channel.

Luckily, in those three months, Nischay Malhan’s videos got a good number of views and thanks to this, he earned consistent income and became a full-time YouTuber.
