Jaya Kishori is a famous spiritual orator and motivational speaker.
Introduction-
Jaya Sharma (Jaya Kishori) was born on 13 July 1996 in Kolkata, West Bengal.
Her father, Radheshyam Sharma was initially a businessman but now, he manages the work of Jaya Kishori.
He is a Rajasthani but he moved to Kolkata along with his family for livelihood.
Jaya’s mother is a housewife and she is a Maharashtrian.
Jaya has a younger sister, Chetana.
Education-
Jaya did her schooling from Mahadevi Birla World Academy, Kolkata.
Then, she studied B.Com from The Bhawanipur Education Society College, Kolkata.
Devotee since a young age-
There was always an atmosphere of devotion in her home and Jaya grew up in this sanctity.
All her family members used to daily read Hanuman Chalisa in the evenings and sing kirtans and bhajans every week and also read Lord Krishna’s stories.
Thanks to all these, Jaya developed spirituality at a young age.
Spirituality through music-
Jaya learnt music and hymns (bhajans) from her father.
She started singing hymns from the age of 6 and liked singing very much.
Jaya grew even more spiritual with music.
Her first song-
At the age of 7, Jaya did her first singing program in Kolkata and she sang Sri Rani sati dadi ji kirtan in satsang mandli.
During that time, she was appreciated by Kumar Vishu, a famous singer.
And since then, Jaya continued singing and her bhajan albums became very popular.
She sings in Hindi and Rajasthani and her future plan is to sing in English.
Dance-
As a child, Jaya participated in reality shows and dance competitions and performed classical dance.
Attracted towards kathas–
Jaya observed her father and grandfather getting emotional by listening to the stories (kathas).
She got curious and requested them to allow her to listen to the stories.
Jaya listened to a story (katha) cassette of Swami Ramsukhdas and liked it very much and then, decided to narrate a story by herself and during that time, she was just 10.
She considers Swami Ramsukhdas as her teacher (guru).
Her first katha-
Jaya prepared for the next 1.5 years to learn about kathas and to develop her narrative skills.
At the age of 12, she narrated her first katha of Nani Bai Ka Mayra in Shree Shyam Mandir Ghusuridham, Kolkata.
As her mother tongue is Marwari, Jaya narrated this story in Marwari.
And from 2012, she started doing kathas and she also took tuitions for Sanskrit.
Jaya is also known as a Radha swarupa.
Her gurus-
Jaya learnt Shrimad Bhagwat Katha from Bhagwatacharya and Vinod Kumar Ji Sahal.
Prior to this, she also got trained under Shri Govind Das ji of Mandir shree Baikunth Nath ji and he was her first guru.
Then, Jaya was trained by Pandit Vinod Kumar Ji Sahal.
Spreading Indian culture-
Jaya has narrated hundreds of kathas in India and abroad.
She is not only attracting Indian youth towards spirituality but also spreading Indian culture abroad.
Even in her college years, Jaya used to narrate kathas more than attending her college.
Her future plan is to narrate Shiv Katha in English.
Jaya joined hands with Narayan Seva Sansthan, a non-profit charitable organization.
Family support-
Jaya’s parents identified her talent at a young age and allowed her to travel to different places and narrate kathas.
Even as both her parents fully supported her, other elders of her family opposed their decision of allowing their daughter to travel at such a young age.
Even then, Jaya’s parents stood by her side.
From Jaya Sharma to Jaya Kishori-
One of Jaya’s teachers (guruji) used to affectionately call her Kishori and since then, she is being known as Jaya Kishori.
Bhagavad Gita-
Apart from being a spiritual coach, Jaya is also a motivational speaker.
According to her, Lord Krishna is the best motivational speaker and she read Bhagavad Gita and this is the source for her motivational speeches.
Jaya also sources her knowledge by listening to people and reading books.
Her YouTube channels-
On 15 November 2014, Jaya started a YouTube channel by the name, Iamjayakishori and this channel is mainly related to spirituality.
She received a Silver Play Button for the Iamjayakishori YouTube channel.
And on 24 July 2021, Jaya started her second YouTube channel by the name, JayaKishori Motivation.
This channel is related to life coaching and motivation.
She also has a website.

Jaya received many awards and they are as follows-
- In January 2016, she received Adarsh Yuwa Adhyatmik Guru Puruskar by Mohan Bhagwat of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.
- Samaj Ratan Award by Narayan Sewa Sansthan.
- Sanskar Artist of the Year 2013-2014 by Sanskar Channel.
- Women Era award.
- Also, Jaya has been recognized as Youth Spiritual Icon by Fame India Magazine.

- Bansuri is her favourite musical instrument and Jaya attains peace by listening to its music. She also attains peace by listening to Hindustani classical music.
- Her hobbies are reading books and painting.
- Jaya’s favourite actors are Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor.
- Deepika Padukone is her favourite actress.
