Inspiring Biography of Himanshi Singh

Himanshi Singh is a popular YouTuber and educator.

She has more than two million subscribers across her couple of YouTube channels.

Introduction-

Himanshi Singh was born on 10 September 1997.

Her father, Udham Singh was a Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) maths and later, he also worked as a School Secretary at Government Boys Senior Secondary School, Nand Nagri, Delhi.

Himanshi Singh has an elder sister and a younger brother.

Currently, she lives in New Delhi.

Early love for teaching-

As a child, Himanshi Singh used to live with her maternal grandparents in a small village of Bulandshahr district, Uttar Pradesh.

Almost all her family members were teachers and since her childhood, she too had a passion for teaching.

Himanshi Singh’s uncle was a government teacher and she used to go to his school to teach the lower primary classes.

She loved teaching and this later helped her to become a successful teacher.

Schooling-

Himanshi Singh did her schooling until her 10th class in a Hindi medium U. P. Board school.

During that time, she used to live in her village and travel to her school in a nearby city on a bicycle.

Himanshi Singh’s parents decided for her that she would study her intermediate in Delhi in a CBSE school.

Initially, she struggled to switch to the CBSE board but thanks to her learning attitude, she was able to do it.

DU & diploma-

After completing her intermediate, Himanshi Singh joined University of Delhi (Delhi University) for her graduation.

After studying in Delhi University (DU) for around three months, her family members wanted her to do a diploma in teacher training because this would help her to become a government teacher.

As most of her family members were government teachers, Himanshi Singh too wanted to become one.

Her plan was to complete the two year diploma course and then continue her graduation.

Clearing CTET-

So, Himanshi Singh left her graduation and completed the diploma in teacher training.

Later, she cleared the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) in 2016.

Deciding to enter YouTube-

After clearing CTET, Himanshi Singh observed that CTET isn’t a very difficult exam but she was surprised to observe that the majority of people were failing to clear this exam.

So, she thought of sharing tips and her experience to help people to easily clear CTET.

From a long time, Himanshi Singh used to watch a lot of YouTube videos and so, she too decided to publish videos on YouTube regarding CTET.

Starting Let’s LEARN-

On 4 October 2016, Himanshi Singh started her YouTube channel by the name, Let’s LEARN.

During that time, she was 19.

Himanshi Singh made a few points on how to clear CTET and then, shot a two minute video with her phone’s front camera.

This video was titled- HOW TO CRACK CTET WITHOUT COACHING!, this video was her first video and was published on 4 October 2016.

Many people liked her video and Himanshi Singh continued her YouTube journey helping lakhs of people to clear the teaching exams.

Now, Let’s LEARN YouTube channel is one of India’s biggest channels on CTET, TETs, DSSSB, KVS, NVS etc.

As of October 2021, Himanshi Singh has published a whopping 1,900 videos on this channel.

Initial struggles-

Initially, as Himanshi Singh didn’t have enough money to invest in her YouTube channel, she invested her pocket money.

For a long time, she didn’t have a mic and she used to record with her earphones only.

As the daytime used to be noisy, Himanshi Singh used to record the videos in the night-time.

She used to do screen recordings and create PowerPoint presentations with her old, sluggish laptop.

Becoming a full-time YouTuber-

Initially, Himanshi Singh was working on her YouTube channel alongside with preparing for her final exam.

But eventually, her YouTube channel became her priority over her preparation and she decided to become a full-time YouTuber and she didn’t attend her final exam.

Himanshi Singh received a payment of around ₹6200 (excluding taxes) in 2018, that is almost after one and a half year of starting Let’s LEARN YouTube channel.

No to government job-

Unfortunately, Himanshi Singh lost her father in February 2020 while he was on duty as a polling officer of Delhi Legislative Assembly election, 2020 and she had an option to get her father’s job on compassionate appointment.

But she preferred to continue as a YouTuber only.

Transition-

Initially, Himanshi Singh used to create PowerPoint presentations on her laptop.

But later, she started live streaming with OBS Studio by showing her face.

Then, Himanshi Singh upgraded to teaching on the white board and then, to the expensive smart board.

Becoming a successful YouTuber-

Now, Himanshi Singh is a successful YouTuber.

As of December 2021, she has more than 2.5 million subscribers on Let’s LEARN and 455K subscribers on her personal YouTube channel by the name, Himanshi Singh.

Himanshi Singh received a Silver Play Button and later, a Gold Play Button for her Let’s LEARN YouTube channel.

She also received a Silver Play Button for her other YouTube channel.

Apart from these Play Buttons, Himanshi Singh also received a few awards.

She was appreciated by India’s top online educators like Aman Dhattarwal and Arvind Arora.

Her books-

Himanshi Singh published her first book by the name, CTET & STETs: Child Development and Pedagogy with Previous Year Papers in 2019 and during that time, she was just 21.

She also published another book by the name, Kiran Education Psychology and Pedagogy 4000+ Objective Questions.
