Arvind Arora

Arvind Arora is a famous educator and YouTuber.

He is well known for his YouTube channel by the name, A2 Motivation {Arvind Arora} and this channel has more than 12 million subscribers.

Introduction-

Arvind Arora hails from Suratgarh, Rajasthan.

His father is a shopkeeper in Suratgarh and his mother is a housewife.

Arvind Arora also has a sister.

In his childhood, he used to help his father in running the shop.

For almost three years, Arvind Arora did petty tasks like cleaning, etc. in the shop.

Desire to prove his uncle wrong-

As a child, Arvind Arora wanted to grow up to inherit his father’s shop and become a shopkeeper.

Once, he and his uncle travelled to Nanihal and there, his grandmother enquired about what he will become after growing up.

Arvind Arora’s uncle replied on his behalf and said that he will become a shopkeeper.

He was very disappointed with his uncle for assuming his future and during that time, he became determined not to become a shopkeeper after growing up and wanted to prove his uncle wrong.

From that time, Arvind Arora stopped going to his father’s shop and focused on studying well.

Determined to study engineering-

After completing his schooling, Arvind Arora wanted to study engineering from Jaipur.

He got admission into Swami Keshvanand Institute of Technology, Management & Gramothan (SKIT Jaipur) and was required to leave Suratgarh and travel to Jaipur.

Against his father’s wish-

Arvind Arora’s father wasn’t happy with him for choosing to study engineering because he felt that engineering has no scope.

So, he wasn’t ready to pay his college fees even when he was in a position to afford it.

So, upon the suggestion of his brother, Arvind Arora took an education loan.

This time he was determined to prove his father wrong by becoming a successful engineer.

So, in 2005, Arvind Arora joined SKIT Jaipur to study for a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Electrical Engineering Technology.

Studying hard-

As Arvind Arora previously studied in Hindi medium, he found it difficult to study the engineering books which were all in English.

But in his first year of engineering, he studied hard and scored 75%.

Getting distracted-

Things didn’t go well for him in his second year of engineering as he got distracted.

During that time, Arvind Arora completely neglected his studies and used to roam carelessly on his newly purchased bike.

And as a consequence, he scored very low in the examinations of his first semester of second year of engineering.

Arvind Arora also forgot that he had to repay his education loan and become a successful engineer.

Wanting to quit-

As Arvind Arora scored very poorly in the examinations and was also known as a vagabond in his college, no one befriended him.

This made him think of dropping out from the college but then, he remembered his ambition of becoming a successful engineer and thanks to this, he didn’t drop out.

An eye-opening incident-

Once Arvind Arora went to Malviya Nagar for dinner and there he observed a family having dinner.

That family consisted of old parents and a middle aged son.

After eating their dinner, Arvind Arora expected the son to pay their bill but his mother paid it.

He felt sorry for him for not being in a position to be able to pay for his parents’ dinner.

And Arvind Arora realised that if he continues neglecting his studies he too would suffer financially in the future and would be in a position to not be able to even afford feeding his parents.

This realisation motivated him to study well.

Winning silver medal-

Thanks to the above mentioned incident, Arvind Arora completely focused on his studies.

And in his second semester of engineering, he scored well in the examinations and was awarded a silver medal.

In May 2009, Arvind Arora successfully graduated engineering with honours.

His first job-

As Arvind Arora was in need of money, in September 2009, he took a job at SKIT Jaipur.

He was paid ₹10,400 per month.

Later, a coaching institute offered him a job and Arvind Arora joined there.

And later, a popular GATE coaching institute offered him a franchise and they wanted him to move from Jaipur to Sikar.

So, Arvind Arora moved to Sikar and accepted their offer of a franchise.

He started taking classes in this institute and within two years, he was coaching 150 students.

Leaving the institute-

When the institute became well established and everything was going well, Arvind Arora’s partner wanted all of the franchise and asked him to leave the franchise.

His partner offered him some money and also made an offer to give him some percentage of the earnings of the institute.

Then, Arvind Arora left the institute and within the next six months that institute got closed down.

During that time, he was left with only ₹8,000 and was unable to even pay his room’s rent.

Another chance-

Luckily, thanks to Arvind Arora’s excellent teaching and communication skills, a coaching institute gave him an opportunity to give a demo for the GATE.

The owner of the coaching institute was impressed by his teaching skills and offered him the job of chemistry teacher.

Later, that owner also made Arvind Arora a partner of the institute.

This started his journey of becoming a chemistry teacher.

Entering YouTube-

Later, Arvind Arora shifted from Rajasthan to Surat, Gujarat.

Here, he started reading about Osho and Srinivasa Ramanujan.

Arvind Arora read vividly about Ramanujan and understood his Date of Birth Magic Square.

So, he thought of creating videos about Magic square so as not to forget the concept.

So, on December 29, 2012, Arvind Arora created a YouTube channel by the name, MADE EJEE Chemistry (later renamed to VEDANTU NEET MADE EJEE) and uploaded a few videos related to the Magic square.

As at that time, he was teaching chemistry, he also started recording the chemistry lectures and uploaded them on this channel.

Struggles-

Initially, for many years from 2014 to 2017, Arvind Arora gained only a few subscribers and got little views on his YouTube channel.

He got only 4,000 subscribers in his first seven months.

In 2017, thanks to the board, JEE and NEET exams, Arvind Arora’s videos started getting popular and he started gaining recognition as a chemistry teacher.

Success of MADE EJEE Chemistry-

Eventually, Arvind Arora’s MADE EJEE Chemistry channel became successful.

In 2018, this channel got a Silver Play Button and in 2020, this channel got a Gold Play Button.

In 2019, Arvind Arora merged his MADE EJEE Chemistry YouTube channel with Vedantu and this channel got renamed to VEDANTU NEET MADE EJEE.

Getting humiliated-

When TikTok was planning to launch EduTok in India, they invited Arvind Arora and many educational YouTubers to a party in Delhi for promotional purposes.

In the party, he was completely ignored by the organisers and they only focused on the TikTokers and he felt very humiliated by this.

So, Arvind Arora became determined to create content on TikTok to prove that a successful YouTuber can also become a successful TikToker.

So, from October, he started creating short videos on TikTok and just after six months, he garnered 7.2 million followers on TikTok.

But this success was short-lived as the Indian government banned TikTok.

Success of A2 Motivation {Arvind Arora}-

Arvind Arora started A2 Motivation {Arvind Arora} YouTube channel on April 7, 2017.

Even when the TikTok got banned in India, he didn’t stop creating short videos.

Arvind Arora started publishing short videos related to motivation and facts on A2 Motivation {Arvind Arora} channel.

As he already made 500 short videos on TikTok, he became skilled at making good short videos.

When YouTube launched YouTube Shorts, Arvind Arora’s channel which was previously growing at a snail’s pace skyrocketed and in just four months, his channel crossed four million subscribers.

Many YouTube Play Buttons-

Arvind Arora got a total of seven YouTube Play Buttons for his YouTube channels out of which five are Silver Play Buttons and the remaining are Gold Play Buttons.

He himself operates his A2 Motivation {Arvind Arora} YouTube channel whereas his other channel is operated by his team.

Working at several places–

From September 2015 to September 2017, Arvind Arora worked in Vidyamandir Classes in Surat, Gujarat.

Then, from September 2017 to September 2018, he worked as a JEE NEET Chemistry faculty in Unacademy in Surat, Gujarat.

Later, when Arvind Arora moved to Bengaluru in 2019, he left Unacademy to join Vedantu.

Some interesting facts about Arvind Arora-

• In 2020, Arvind Arora purchased a lavish 3 BHK house in Bengaluru.
• He earns from a variety of sources like YouTube, Vedantu, brand endorsements, mutual funds and investments in shares and real estate.
• Arvind Arora loves reading books.
• His plan is to retire at 45 and pursue spirituality.
