Nathaniel Drew is a popular YouTuber.

He has more than 1.6 million subscribers on his eponymous YouTube channel.

Introduction-

Nathaniel Drew was born in 1997 into a middle-class family in Los Angeles, California, United States.

He hails from Portland, Oregon and grew up here.

Nathaniel’s father, Josh, is also a YouTuber and has a YouTube channel by the name Beneath the Surface.

Nathaniel’s mother’s name is Cecilia.

Both his parents emigrated from Argentina to escape ‘The Dirty War’ and settled in the United States in the 1970s and 1980s.

Nathaniel has a younger brother, Skyler.

Education-

Nathaniel studied for a high school diploma at a local college in the United States.

Then, in 2016, at 18, he took a gap year.

Then, Nathaniel joined a community college for a dual credit program.

Here, he took a film class and as a part of the class, he watched and analyzed movies, even though he enjoyed it, he felt that it didn’t help him become a better filmmaker.

So, after a couple of semesters in college, Nathaniel started working for small production companies around Portland and learnt a lot about filmmaking by working for them for a couple of years.

Nathaniel also learnt about filmmaking by reading blog posts, forums and watching videos on the internet and shooting and editing videos on his own.

Career-

After learning the video production on his own, Nathaniel started working as a videographer and editor.

For a long time, he worked as a production assistant (PA) on the film sets.

Then, as Nathaniel lost interest in this work, he started working full-time on his YouTube channel.

Working on his YouTube channel-

Nathaniel started his eponymous YouTube channel on 21 July 2015.

At that time, he was inspired by the storytelling ability of Casey Neistat to start his YouTube channel.

Nathaniel’s content is mainly focused on self-improvement and self-exploration.

Even though he has been working on his channel since 2015, he has been able to earn decent money from it only since March 2019.

On 6 April 2020, Nathaniel started his second YouTube channel by the name No Backup Plan – Nathaniel Drew and he also has a website and a newsletter.

Later, he started his third YouTube channel by the name NBP Clips.

His brother, Skyler works as an animator for his YouTube videos and he also has a team for video production.

James Clear’s books inspire Nathaniel to stay consistent.

Love for travelling & a successful YouTuber-

At 17, Nathaniel travelled to France as a part of the student exchange program in high school and thanks to this, he fell in love with travelling.

So, he later travelled to many countries like Mexico, Italy, Spain, Luxembourg, Argentina, etc.

As of March 2023, Nathaniel has 1.65M subscribers on his eponymous YouTube channel.

And has 118K subscribers on his YouTube channel by the name No Backup Plan – Nathaniel and 176K followers on Instagram.

Nathaniel earns from a variety of sources like advertisements and ‘Super Thanks’ on his YouTube channel, sponsorships, selling merchandise and courses, affiliate marketing and he also accepts donations on Patreon.

He shoots his videos with Fujifilm X-T4 Mirrorless Digital Camera, GoPro HERO7 and DJI Mavic 2 Pro.
