Getting inspired by PewDiePie & starting Daily Dose Of Internet-

In 2015, while working in a bank, Jason wasn’t at all passionate for his job and hated himself for being in that job.

During that time, he was inspired by the story of Felix Arvid Ulf Kjellberg (PewDiePie) who initially was working at a hot dog stand and went on to become a very popular YouTuber.

Jason also observed that many low quality, awful videos were receiving millions of views on YouTube and he thought of starting a new YouTube channel to publish some good quality entertainment videos onto it.

Also, he wanted to start a channel so as to find solace in the midst of his tiring job.

So, on 15 July 2015, Jason started his YouTube channel by the name Daily Dose Of Internet.

The story behind the name & initial struggles-

Jason named his YouTube channel as Daily Dose Of Internet because he wanted to publish videos daily onto his channel.

And true to its name, he used to daily publish videos on Daily Dose Of Internet but as his channel was just a hobby for him and as there wasn’t much time for him to ask for permissions for using others’ videos, he got into trouble and as a result, he had to make several of his videos Private on YouTube.

After working for around a year, Jason made all of his videos private as he didn’t possess licensing rights for those videos and he had to do this to comply with YouTube’s copyright rules.

From that point onwards, he started requesting permissions to use others’ videos on his YouTube channel.

Jason searches for interesting videos on many social media platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, etc. and then, requests for permissions, licensing rights and obtains signed licensing contracts.

He also works with a few licensing companies and purchases video footage from them.

Jason pays anywhere between $50 and $500 for purchasing the videos.

He also requests people to film videos exclusively for his YouTube channel.
