Frank James is a popular YouTuber, and comedian.

He has more than 1.2 million subscribers on his eponymous YouTube channel.

Introduction-

Franklin Jamerson III (Frank James) was born in December 1989.

He hails from the United States, and has a mixed ethnicity of Italian, Irish, English, and French.

His father was a businessman.

Frank has a sister, and a brother, Tommy James, he appeared in a few of his videos.

Getting interested in MBTI-

Once Frank’s brother was discussing with his friends about personality types, and he predicted that Frank’s Myers–Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) type would be INFJ.

A few months later, he took the test, and to his surprise, his brother’s prediction came true; and this got him interested in MBTI, and he started learning more about MBTI.

Struggles of an introvert-

Frank was younger than most of his classmates and used to always feel intimidated by them.

He was an introvert at school, he grew even more introverted at college.

Frank was home-schooled for a few years of his middle school.

Thanks to his love for theatre, he started doing it in high school; he believed that theatre could improve his introversion and help him easily communicate with others.

In theatre, Frank used to write comedies, and make people laugh.

But he became even more introverted in college, stayed away from parties, and didn’t make any friends.

At college, Frank shifted his focus from acting to writing.

After graduating, he attended a grad school, and started opening up.

Career-

After graduating from the grad school, for a while, Frank struggled to find a job.

A year later, he secured a job at his grad school but he wasn’t interested in that job.

At the time, Frank started suffering from social anxiety, and became even more introverted, and likewise, suffered for many years.

Later, he worked as an accountant, until he became a full-time YouTuber.

Career & confidence through YouTube-

Frank was an avid watcher of Casey Neistat’s vlogs, and these vlogs inspired him to start his YouTube channel.

On 1 January 2017, he started his eponymous YouTube channel.

Frank’s interest and background in theatre and writing greatly helped him while working on his channel.

As his attempts of becoming a writer and a musician couldn’t fruition, he started focusing on his YouTube channel.

YouTube not only provided Frank a career but also relieved him of social anxiety and made him self-confident.

Inspiration for MBTI & humour videos-

Initially, Frank published advice and personal development teaching videos; later, he started incorporating humour into his videos, this helped him gain thousands of subscribers on his channel.

At that time, he observed Erik Thor getting good views for his MBTI videos; this inspired him to produce MBTI videos.

In 2017, Frank observed the popularity of ‘16 personality sketches’ on YouTube; a girl published a video, ‘16 personalities at a party’ which received nearly a million views.

In early 2019, he observed Bogdan Yakubets regularly publishing videos on 16 personalities and garnering good views; so, he too published a video, ‘16 Personalities at a Job Interview (funny)’ on 31 May 2019.

At the time, this video was the most successful and viral video of his channel, so Frank started producing similar comedy videos; thanks to this, his subscribers count skyrocketed.

A successful YouTuber-

As of November 2023, Frank has 1.22M subscribers on his eponymous YouTube channel, has 117K followers on his Facebook page, and 51.4K followers on Instagram.

He earns from a variety of sources: advertisements, ‘Super Thanks,’ and Membership on his YouTube channel, sponsorships, merchandise, affiliate marketing, and he also accepts donations on Ko-fi.

Frank also has a podcast.

He uses a Canon XA50 Professional Camcorder for recording his videos.

Frank has a video editor, Kelvin.

He has a second YouTube channel, ‘Frank James 2’ (previously named ‘Creator Accelerators’, and ‘College of Tuber Studies’), and as of November 2023, has 10.5K subscribers on it.

A very early personality test revealed that Frank is an INFJ.

Later, he took many personality tests and shared them on his YouTube channel which revealed him to be an ISTJ.
