Cecilia Blomdahl was born on 19 November 1989.

She hails from Sweden and grew up here; her hometown is Gothenburg.

Her mother’s name is Ann and her father’s name is Gunnar.

Cecilia has an elder and a younger sister.

Travelling the world-

At 11, Cecilia along with her parents moved to Ireland and here, she attended the school.

As she grew up in Ireland for a few years, she developed a thick Irish accent but later, thanks to watching American TV, she developed an American accent.

At 16, Cecilia lived in Spain for a year and attended a school there.

Then, in her twenties, she moved around to Australia, London, Ireland and the United States.

From 2009 to 2010, Cecilia attended Martin College for an Advanced Diploma and a Certificate IV in Business and Management.

Career-

From September 2008 to May 2009, Cecilia worked as a Catering and Cabin Assistant at Stena Line in Ireland.

From September 2011 to February 2012, she worked in the Club Lounge of InterContinental Hotels Group.

Then, Cecilia worked as a Pre-opening Team & Front Desk Receptionist at The Bulgari Hotel & Residences for five months in London.

She also worked in the front desk of Gothia Towers.

Then, in April 2014 Cecilia started working as a Front Office Supervisor at the Upper House in Sweden and later, she started working as a Front Desk Agent and worked here until December 2015.

Upper House is a five star hotel in Gothenburg, Sweden.

At that time, Cecilia loved working in hospitality and wanted to become a manager at a hotel.

Moving to Svalbard & falling in love with the place-

While working at the Upper House in Gothenburg Cecilia had a boyfriend and one of their mutual friends was moving to Svalbard.

Later, her boyfriend also moved to Svalbard and as she was bored being in Sweden and longed for an adventure, she too moved to Svalbard and they started working there.

Cecilia moved to Svalbard in December 2015 and thanks to the Polar Night, she fell in love with the place.

A year later, they broke up and her boyfriend left the Svalbard Islands but she stayed on.

From December 2015 to May 2018, Cecilia worked as Head of Reservations at Huset in Longyearbyen, Svalbard.

It is important to have a job beforehand and also an apartment should be sorted out before moving to Svalbard as there are only a few apartments there.

From May 2018 to May 2019, Cecilia worked as a Product Manager at Arctic Travel Concepts in Svalbard and Jan Mayen.

While working in this job, she travelled to China to work on a documentary with a Chinese superstar.

Then, Cecilia worked in a clothing store, ‘Frost’ and simultaneously worked as a drone teacher at a school.

Falling in love with photography-

Cecilia has always been a nerd and loved technology.

In 2017, thanks to her love for technology, she bought a DJI Mavic Pro drone to explore it.

Thanks to this drone, Cecilia fell in love with photography and later purchased her first camera.

Then, she also worked as a drone and photography teacher at a school and later started doing freelance videography and photography projects.

Cecilia did her first ever videography job for the Community council and she does photo jobs for magazines like Condé Nast, etc.

Since May 2020, she has been working as a freelance Photographer & Videographer for See Ya Productions AS in Longyearbyen, Jan Mayen.

Cecilia uses Sony Alpha 7S III and Sony Alpha 7C cameras and DJI Mavic 3 Cine and DJI Mini 3 Pro drones.

Her YouTube channel-

Even though Cecilia started her eponymous YouTube channel on 2 January 2012, she started publishing videos onto it only from June 2019.

As of November 2023, she has 744K subscribers on her channel and 949K followers on Instagram.

Cecilia earns from the advertisements on her YouTube videos, selling merchandise, affiliate marketing, receiving sponsorships and she also accepts donations on Patreon.

Currently, she is a full-time content creator and publishes content on YouTube, Instagram and TikTok.

Personal life-

While working at Huset in 2018, Cecilia started hanging out with Christoffer and later, they fell in love.

Initially, he worked as a chef for a couple of years and then worked in the logistics department at the warehouse in Huset but in 2021, he quit his job to help her with her online content creation businesses.

Christoffer has Norwegian and Swedish ethnicity.

They live in a cabin outside of Longyearbyen on Svalbard with a Finnish lapphund, Grim.

Svalbard is a Norwegian archipelago about 650 miles from the North Pole.
